When you buy a pre-owned car in the UAE, you want at least some level of reassurance that your investment is a smart one, and that your money is protected. Put simply, you want a warranty. Buying privately means that you won’t get any kind of warranty, which is why at Al-Futtaim Automall we always believe it’s better to buy from a dealer, where you will get the peace of mind of a warranty on any pre-owned car. So what does it include? 

The Details

With every car we sell, we make absolutely sure that it’s ready for the road, running smoothly, and in the best condition possible before we hand you the keys. We know that our reputation depends on the satisfaction of our customers, so we ensure that every car we sell has a 12-month/20,000km warranty as standard. That means you’re fully covered for a whole year or up to 20,000km, whichever comes first.

However, if you buy a used car in the UAE from Al-Futtaim Automall and that car still has a manufacturer’s warranty in place that’s longer than the 12-month/20,000km deal from us, that warranty is transferred to you.

Want to Extend?

You can extend your warranty for up to three years or 60,000km for an additional charge. That’s three years or 60,000km of happy motoring, knowing that we’ve got your back.

What Does the Warranty Cover?

Your warranty from Al-Futtaim Automall means that we’ll either repair or replace new or reclaimed parts free of charge if they fail because of either poor workmanship or faulty parts. Bear in mind that this pledge doesn’t include consumables like tyres or glass. However, we will cover your battery for three months or 5,000km.

Your warranty is only valid in the UAE, so if you travel outside the region the warranty won’t cover you.

 
What Isn’t Covered?

Apart from tyres and glass, several things are not covered by an Al-Futtaim Automall warranty, including:
•    Parts and labour for routine maintenance services
•    Repairs that are the result of misuse (such as racing, neglect, modifications or the failure of parts that have been supplied or fitted by anyone other than Al-Futtaim Automall)
•    Vehicles that are used for Hire & Reward
•    Damage from environmental factors such as salt corrosion, chemicals or damage during storm conditions.

Your Obligations

To ensure your warranty remains valid, there are some owner’s responsibilities and obligations that you need to take into account, including the fact that routine servicing and maintenance needs to be carried out by Al-Futtaim Automall and not a third party. You’ll need to make sure that when you do put your vehicle in for a service, your warranty card is stamped to certify that it’s been completed properly and by our trained mechanics. And if you need to make a claim, you’ll have 14 days to do so.

Can I Transfer My Warranty If I Sell My Car in the UAE?

As the warranty is drawn up between the customer and Al-Futtaim Automall and isn’t technically attached to the vehicle, a warranty cannot be transferred to another vehicle if the car is sold in the UAE.
